This post is of my second day in Barcelona – I was traveling with my brother and his girlfriend, the weather was warm, we went on a cycle tour around the main sights.

This is the second installment of my weekly series featuring images captured during my solo adventure in Europe, May-June 2014.

While photographing during my holiday, I tried to free myself of my now ingrained rules of exposure and composition. I spent less than a second making each image, most were taken while I was walking along the street, I rarely even paused to shoot. I raised my camera whenever I saw something I liked. Anything that caught my eye.

You can see many more images from this period on my personal blog ‘Look, See’: http://annamunro.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/barcelona-two.html

Welcome to my new Wednesday blog series! Every Wednesday I will feature a few key frames from some beautiful weddings I have photographed recently.

This week I’m featuring the wedding of Ellee and Willie who were married on the windiest day imaginable – windier even than your average Wellington day – they handled it like pros though, and Ellee’s floaty dress actually looked quite beautiful flying around. Ellee and Willie were married in Wellington’s Old St Paul’s church – the same place my own parents were married many a moon ago. The reception was held at the Boatshed styled beautifully by Charlotte Wood Events.

This is the first installment of what will become a weekly series of images captured during my solo adventure in Europe, May-June 2014.

While photographing during my holiday, I tried to free myself of my now ingrained rules of exposure and composition. I spent less than a second making each image, most were taken while I was walking along the street, I rarely even paused to shoot. I raised my camera whenever I saw something I liked. Anything that caught my eye.

This first post covers the epic journey from Wellington to Barcelona – 44 hours on planes and in airports – and the first few hours (which I barely remember thanks to jet-lag).

The Sagrada Familia is the most beautiful church I have even been to. Actually the most beautiful building. Hands down. The light inside is so inspiring, and the grand scale and unique Gaudi details are literally breathtaking. Also featured is Santa Maria del Mar, a 14th century church.
