Alice and Michael AKA “Sheep” were married last Monday at Brackenridge in Martinborough, this is quickly becoming a favourite venue of mine – it is always a great idea to find a venue where you can have both your wedding ceremony and your reception at the same location, bonus points if you can even get ready at the on site cottages.
I’ve known Alice for a number of years, she had just launched her fashion brand Phillipa & Alice while I was studying photography and I photographed some of her work for my assignments (and for fun!) later Alice and bridesmaid Phillipa even designed and made the bridesmaid dresses for my own wedding! Naturally I was thrilled when Alice asked me to photograph her wedding, I knew that it would be full of personal creative details, and anyone who knows me will know I have a SLIGHT obsession with red hair. Believe it or not Alice designed and sewed her own wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses too. All of the girls look completely stunning.
It was a double pleasure to get to know Sheep, or as I like to call him (accidentally) “Sheepie”. This is one fun guy and, like Alice, possesses an enviable heart of gold. It made me so happy to watch Alice and Sheep together, it is as plain as the nose on your face that these two are true besties and will not only have a long and happy marriage, but a wildly fun and giggle-filled life.
